List of Niches – 20 Online Business Ideas for Beginners

In this blog, I’m giving you 20 online business ideas for beginners. This is a list of real niche websites that you can create today.

This list of niches is 20 niche websites that you can start today to begin generating passive income online. This blog will be updated consistently as this list of niches gets too competitive, and as new online business ideas for beginners arise.

This is a list of niches that I have personally researched. I strongly considered creating a website in the below niches, but unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to start a new niche website every day so I’m sharing my list of niches with you!

So, let’s get started. Below is my list of niches. These are online business ideas for beginners. I’ll give you an overview of the niche and how you can generate revenue with each niche in my list.

My List of Niches

Here is a list of 20 online business ideas for beginners. This is a list of niches that I have personally considered. Some of these are broad, you will have to find a niche within a niche. Some of the ideas in this list of niches are extremely niche already. This is a big list of niches, you will need to do the research to learn how you can create a niche site and begin profiting from this idea:

  • Diets
  • Pets
  • Food
  • Workout
  • Certifications
  • Your day job
  • Boardgames
  • Travel
  • Music
  • Videogames
  • Information technology (IT)
  • Weddings
  • Parenting
  • Shopping
  • Baseball cards
  • Fantasy sports
  • Cars
  • How to
  • DIY
  • Landscaping

Below I go into more detail about each idea in this list of niches. I will breakdown exactly why this is a good online business idea for beginners.

I have a big ongoing list of niche site ideas that I keep on my phone. Every time I have a new idea for a niche, I write it down. This list is well over 100 niche site ideas. I’m now beginning to document these ideas. You can download my favorite niche site ideas here. These are the top niche sites that I would create today (if I had more time). I update this download as I come across new niche sites, I’m always updating my favorites to let you know when I discover a new niche idea and how you can monetize the idea. Download my favorite niche site ideas (and how I would make money) here.

How To Read This Blog - List of Niches

As always, there are three ways to consume this content. I'm a content marketing junky so I like to create different types of content. You can review this list of niches in the blog, as a video, or as a SlideShare. Select how you want to view the content with the buttons below.

List of Niches - Video

Online Business Idea – Diets

Dieting and dietary restrictions are a very prominent niche. If you are currently on a diet or have certain dietary restrictions that you follow, you can make that your niche. Just off the top of my head, I can think of a few niche ideas for dieting:

  • Keto
  • Weight Watchers
  • Paleo
  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Pescatarian
  • Lactose intolerant
  • Peanut allergy

These are just a few diets. There are so many variations of different diets, programs, and dietary restrictions. If you are following one, or face any restrictions in your diet, this can be a niche.

You could sell a cookbook for vegetarians, you could teach people to cook for their lactose-intolerant children, you could blog about Keto snacks, you could be a Paleo coach, or you can start an affiliate site recommending the best Weight Watchers food. There are so many niche options related to dieting.

Online Business Idea – Pets

If you own a pet, you have a niche. The trick here is to pick a specific type of pet, but make it niche. Don’t create a niche blog about dogs in general, or cats in general. Make it about rat terrier dogs. Make it about sphynx cats. Make it about hedgehogs, iguana’s, or clownfish. Pick something really niche and focus on that. Become the expert on that breed or type of pet, bet the go-to resource for everything about that pet.

If you own a pet, what type of pet is it? If it’s a snapping turtle. Great. That is your starting point. A niche blog about pet snapping turtles.

Online Business Idea – Food

The food niche is really big. There is a lot of ways you could create a niche around food. This is one of the most basic online business ideas for beginners. A few of my coaching clients started their first niche sites by focusing on food.

Again, with the food niche, you want to find a niche within a niche. Don’t start a niche site about food in general. That is too broad. Here are a few food niche site ideas:

  • Vegetarian soup
  • Vegan cheese
  • Grilled meat
  • Cooking fish
  • Healthy fruits
  • Healthy carbs
  • How to make bread
  • Food for toddlers
  • Food for broke college kids

Similar to the diet niche you could sell a cookbook, you could have an affiliate site recommending the cheapest food to buy online for college kids, you could create a membership site about vegan cheese, you could package and sell your own vegetarian soup, or you could teach people how to cook bread. There are so many niche options related to food. Keep track of what you eat and cook, is there anything you ate today that you could start a niche site about?

Online Business Idea – Workout

The workout niche is very broad. But there are countless opportunities to find a niche within the workout niche. This is another one of the most popular niche site ideas. The problem is, I see way too many people starting their business as a “workout guru” posting videos on Instagram trying to appeal to everyone. You need to be more niche than that. Look at Kayla Itsines and Shaun T as examples. They aren’t trying to appeal to everyone. Kayla has the Bikini Body Guide, a workout for women to get in shape with a 30-minute workout. Shaun T created the Insanity program, a crazy intense program to get you ripped with one workout video per day. They are not appealing to everyone, but they appeal to a specific target market where they are very successful. Choose something specific, no one is going to pay you for posting workout videos on your Instagram.

Here are a couple of niches within the workout niche:

  • Workout exercise – think powerlifting, dancing, bodyweight workouts, and running. Running is a huge niche. You could be the go-to resource for everything related to running a half marathon race.
  • Workout programs – think Insanity, P90x, and Peloton. Be careful with these, you don’t want to infringe on any copyrights or trademarks. But you could become an affiliate and recommend people to the Insanity workout and coach people to get through the program.
  • Workout gear – think lifting gloves, resistance bands, pullup bars, and ab wheels. You could design and sell a better lifting glove, or you can be an affiliate recommending the best pullup bars.

The workout niche is huge. There is lots of room for you to carve out a niche within this niche. Think about what you specialize in with your workouts. Do you run marathons? Do you know how to pack on muscle with powerlifting? Do you compete in bikini competitions? There’s your niche.

Online Business Idea – Certifications

In this niche, you are creating a business by providing study material, guidance, and advice to those pursuing a particular set of exams, designation, certification, or licensing. I like to call this the “exam prep niche”. I talk a lot more about this in my 25 niche site ideas blog.

If you’ve been following along with the niche site ideas case study, then you already know all about the exam prep niche, my website AssociaePI, and how I’ve generated over $160,000 in passive income in the past three years with this one simple niche site idea.

There are THOUSANDS of niche exams, designations, certifications, and licenses with hundreds of thousands of people taking the exams each month. Off of the top of my head, I think of the CPA, CFA, CNA, Real estate license, underwriter licensing, Fundamentals of Engineering (FE), and CLU. And those are just the big-name designations and licensing that I could think of without doing any research!

Use your day job, use your college exams, use the designations you earned five years ago, use any exam you have taken to create exam prep materials that you can sell online.  It’s such a simple, small, profitable business idea that not enough people take advantage of.

It is the perfect opportunity to leverage the niche nature of these designations to create your niche business that generates tens of thousands of dollars in passive income per month. It’s possible. I’m doing it now.

Online Business Idea – Your Day Job

Your day job can be your first niche business.

Is there something you do during the day that you could turn into a business? Are you a mechanic, marketing analyst, or CPA? All of those can be turned into an online business.

You can turn your day job into a coaching practice, you can teach people one-on-one or in a mastermind setting how to become a mechanic. You can write a book about how to climb the corporate ladder as a CPA. You could start a blog about the best law firms to work at for new lawyers. You can coach people one on one about how to improve their job performance and how to advance their careers. You could create a group program and sell your coaching B2B where you host training classes at the employer’s office to coach employees.

There are a lot of options here. You are likely an expert at something in your day job. Turn that into your first niche business.

Online Business Idea – Boardgames

The boardgame niche is a huge market. Some of my friends spend hundreds on new games when they attend the Pax East showcase.

There is a lot of opportunities here.

You can provide instructional videos on how to play a certain game, you can teach people the best strategies to win a board game, you can create products to use in the game like DnD dice as I talk about in the niche site ideas blog, and if you are really creative you can create your own board game.

Online Business Idea – Travel

Travel is another one of those really broad niches. I see way too many people creating travel blogs with no clear target market. They are too broad, it’s just photos of the person traveling. That’s all well and good for a friends and family blog, but it won’t work if you are trying to start a viable business in the travel niche. No one is going on Google and searching “random stranger traveling”.

Instead, people on Google are searching for things like “Best places to visit in New England”, “How to travel cheap in Bali”, and “Must see in Hawaii”. This is how you create a niche travel website.

Think more about how you travel, where you travel, and what you are an expert at when it comes to travel. Here are some possible travel niche business ideas:

  • Traveling in Australia for cheap
  • Road trip around the United States
  • Visiting the Netherlands
  • What to do in Boston
  • How to find flights under $100
  • How to travel with less than 20lbs of luggage
  • Traveling with kids
  • Traveling for business

There are so many options to create a profitable business in the travel niche. You can be an affiliate for a travel agency and earn a commission when someone books through the agency. You can start an Amazon Affiliate blog recommending the products you use as a mother traveling with kids. You can write a book about what to see when visiting New York City for the first time. My fiancée and I bought the book Maui Revealed: The Ultimate Guidebook before traveling to Hawaii. It was one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. It was so niche and specific, we couldn’t have traveled Maui without it. It told us everything from where to find free parking at each beach, where you could find sea turtles, and what attractions we could skip. You can do something exactly like this. I’ve lived in New England my whole life, I could write a book about what to do when visiting New Hampshire.

You can do this exact same thing. Where do you live? Where do you travel? Right now, you are more of an expert about that location than someone that has not lived or traveled to that location. You can become the go-to resource for traveling to a specific location.

Online Business Idea – Music

There is a lot you can do in the music niche. Anything from teaching people to play an instrument, to recommending new music, to building a community for people that listen to Disco.

What do you do that relates to music? Do you play the Ukulele or saxophone? There’s your niche, you can teach people to play the Ukulele just like you. Do you love techno music? There’s your niche, you can recommend the best Techno concerts in your area and create a membership site for techno lovers. Are you an audio snob? You can recommend the best headphones, speakers, and equipment for perfect audio quality.

There are so many variations within the music niche. You can start a business about vinyl records, you can teach people to build their own guitars, you can teach people how to record and edit their own songs, and you can teach people how to play funky town on the keyboard.

There is a lot you can do in the music niche. You just need to think about your experience and how you can help others.

Online Business Idea – Videogames

The videogame niche is similar to the boardgame niche. It’s a huge market, but there is a ton of opportunity to carve out your own niche in this space because there are so many different games and systems. It niches itself for you.

You can provide instructional videos on how to play a certain game, you can teach people the best strategies to beat a game, you can focus on a specific type of game like first-person shooters and earn affiliate commission recommending the best shooter games, or you can review games and give honest feedback about the game.

There are lots of opportunities. There are so many different video games and video game systems. I still play Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 64. You can start a community for people that play the Nintendo 64 and earn affiliate commission by recommending the best-used games online.

Online Business Idea – Information Technology (IT)

The information technology space is wide-ranging and very broad. There are a lot of niches here. IT can be anything from fixing tech devices like Geek Squad, teaching people how to use a new software, teaching people how to install hardware, how to get a job in IT, best schools for IT, or tech reviews of new products.

There are lots of online business opportunities in IT. Here are just a few ideas:

  • Building a computer from scratch
  • How to use photoshop (or any software program)
  • How to fix a hard drive
  • How to troubleshoot common computer errors
  • How to get a job in IT
  • Cellphone reviews (or reviews of any new tech product)

You could create a niche website reviewing the best computer monitors for gaming and earn affiliate commission by recommending the best monitors. You could teach people how to get a job in IT, and what certifications they should pursue relating to information technology. You could be a remote IT assistant for entrepreneurs that can’t afford a full time IT employee, where small businesses pay you a monthly fee and you fix any IT related issue that they face.

The opportunities are endless in the information technology space. There is always a new technology or new software being released. Find a new product or program that is new and master it. Become the expert on the next software that is released. Be the go-to resource and coach for that new IT program. I remember when I first heard about Tableau, a software to build presentation dashboards. Now, I see a ton of niche sites teaching people how to use Tableau. You can do something like this with the next up and coming software program. You can do this with any IT related software, product, or program just like niche sites are doing with Tableau.

If you currently work in IT, I recommend checking out the 25 niche site ideas blog where I talk specifically about IT certifications. You could earn your ITIL certification or CCNA certification and create a niche site teaching others in IT how to earn this certification.

Online Business Idea – Weddings

This one makes the list because I’m getting married soon, so weddings are on my mind! And I have noticed so many niches in the wedding space. My Fiancee is going to dump me the next time I point out a niche wedding business.

Weddings, engagements, engagement parties, bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, bridal parties, groomsmen gifts, bridesmaid gifts, honeymoons, etcetera. The list goes on. There are endless niche opportunities relating to weddings and engagements. Not to mention, if you mention the word “wedding” the price gets doubled. Whether its food, music, or someone writing cursive on a chalkboard. If it’s a wedding service, it’s going to be twice as expensive. You can charge a lot if you choose the wedding niche.

Here are a few online business ideas for the wedding niche:

  • Wedding planning
  • Custom groomsmen gifts
  • Bachelorette party planning
  • Best man speech writing
  • How to write vows
  • Photobook backdrop design

Someone should create an online business in the wedding niche and help me with my wedding needs (please).

Online Business Idea – Parenting

I’m not a parent. Not yet at least. But I see so many niche opportunities in the parenting space. There are entrepreneurial sites specifically for entrepreneur dads or entrepreneur moms. There are sites for busy hockey moms, niche sites for stay at home moms reentering the workforce, and sites for single dads with girls.

There are all sorts of niches related to parenting. Do you have a newborn girl? Great, your niche can be related to parenting a newborn. Do you have full-grown kids graduating from college? Great, your niche can be about parenting kids in college and dealing with the post-college stresses of parenting. Did you adopt your child? Great, you can create a niche site for adoptive parents and raising an adopted child. Are you a stay at home dad that loves woodworking? Great, there’s a niche.

There are so many options. Parenting kids with allergies, parenting five kids at once, parenting children with a disability, parenting a stepchild, and raising kids while working. All niche opportunities.

If you are a parent, think about what is unique about your parenting situation. You have a niche right in front of you. You can even get your kids involved with this online business idea and start raising them to be young entrepreneurs!

Online Business Idea – Shopping

Did you know there is a niche where all you have to do is shop and try new products? I’m calling it the shopping niche. Check out Shop Dandy. My fiancée loves her. She’s an entrepreneur that buys new clothes on Amazon, try’s them out, then tells her audience about the clothes. And she makes BANK.

It blows my mind every time I see Brooke watching Shop Dandy’s Instagram story. She is great at what she does, and she gets to do what she loves. She gets to shop and find new clothes to try.

She uses the Amazon affiliate program to generate revenue. Each time she posts a story she talks about her outfit and gives you her affiliate link to find the product on Amazon. I always try to estimate how much she makes per post. She sells clothing in the $20 to $50 range. She gets around 4,000 likes per post. So, assuming that all the people that like the post also click through to Amazon, and estimate that 10% of them buy, that’s 400 sales at around $4 commission per sale. That’s $1,600 in revenue for one Instagram post! It blows my mind thinking about how much money she is making. She’s great at what she does.

You can do this too. Here are a couple of ideas in the shopping niche:

  • Camping gear
  • Cooking equipment
  • Video games
  • Running shoes
  • Professional clothing
  • Dog supplies
  • Fitness equipment

What do you love to buy? What is your hobby? When you go to Amazon, what are you searching for? This can be your niche. You can buy products and recommend them to others. Give reviews, say why you like or dislike the product. Use Amazon affiliates to generate revenue. You can do this with just about anything that you buy. And best of all, your business is paying for you to buy more of the items that you love, it’s a business expense!

Online Business Idea – Baseball Cards

This is the most niche online business idea that I’m including in this list of niches. This one is so specific and niche I love it. This one has been on my personal list of niches for a long time.

I love baseball, and when I was younger, I used to love collecting baseball cards. I had this book that told me the value of each card that I owned. My rookie Nomar Garciaparra card was my prized possession.

So, I researched this niche in Long Tail Pro and here’s where I found:

  • Most valuable baseball cards – 9,900 people per month searching for this keyword with a Long Tail Pro keyword competitiveness score of 28.
  • Baseball cards worth money – 8,100 people per month searching for this keyword with a Long Tail Pro keyword competitiveness score of 24.
  • Sell baseball cards – 3,600 people per month searching for this keyword with a Long Tail Pro keyword competitiveness score of 27.
  • How much are my baseball cards worth – 590 people per month searching for this keyword with a Long Tail Pro keyword competitiveness score of 26.

Now that is a niche. From this research, I can clearly see that there is an underserved niche opportunity here of people trying to value and sell baseball cards. A lot of people are searching for this each month, but there are very few online businesses in this niche space. I would definitely call this a good online business opportunity for beginners.

There is a lot you could do here. You could be an expert in valuing baseball cards. You could create a buy, sell, and trade baseball card site. You could be the middle man, connecting card owners with someone to value and buy the card. You could write a book about how to value a baseball card and what cards are the most valuable, just like the one I bought when I was younger.

There are a lot of opportunities here. This is extremely niched already, you don’t have to get any more niched than valuing baseball cards. This is one of my favorite online business ideas for beginners. If I was just starting a niche site, I’d probably choose this one.

To better understand the keyword competitiveness score and how I analyze a niche check out my Long Tail Pro review blog.

Online Business Idea – Fantasy Sports

I love fantasy sports. I personally play fantasy football, fantasy basketball, and fantasy baseball. You can create a business in the fantasy sports niche. There is a lot of opportunity for it.

Hundreds of thousands of people play fantasy sports. Personally, I’m a fantasy football junky. I follow ten different blogs and five different podcasts. And you better believe I spend money on their premium products telling me who to draft.

This can be any fantasy sport. You could pick anything including baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, golf, even NASCAR is a fantasy sport! Some might be less competitive than others, for example, fantasy hockey and fantasy golf are less competitive and easier to niche than fantasy football. Make sure to check this niche for all fantasy sports

The only downside is this is a competitive topic. You are competing against ESPN and Yahoo. 450,000 people per month are searching for the keyword “Fantasy football”. On Long Tail Pro this keyword has a keyword competitiveness score of 64. That is really high. Unless you are creating a website bigger than ESPN, you probably won’t rank for the keyword “Fantasy football”. This is a good example of finding a niche within a niche.

One niche idea that I talk about in my niche site ideas blog is a niche opportunity for a “fantasy football trade analyzer”. 27,100 people are searching for this keyword per month and there is very little quality competition in this niche. There are a lot of ways you could generate revenue from this niche. You could create a premium fantasy football trade calculator, you could create a membership site to provide trade advice, you could give 1×1 advice about trades, you could create content about the best trades that you would do each week, you could start a “fantasy trades” podcast and sell ads on your podcast, you could use Patreon to create a premium paid podcast about fantasy trades. There are endless opportunities here and lots of options to generate revenue from this niche.

There are so many opportunities like this in the fantasy sports niche. This is one of my niche site ideas that’s been on my list of niche websites to create. It’s been on my list for the last five years and I just haven’t had the time to build out this niche.

Think about other niche opportunities in the fantasy sports space. You can create a guide to winning your fantasy golf tournament. You can create a podcast for fantasy hockey. You can create a blog about the best daily lineup moves for fantasy baseball. There is plenty of space to carve out a niche for yourself with fantasy sports.

Online Business Idea – Cars

This might be the broadest of all topics in this list of niches. But I do that on purpose because there are so many niche opportunities within this niche.

Don’t go out there and create a car blog. Instead, think of niches within the car niche. What type of car do you drive? You can create a niche for that. I drive a Jeep Cherokee. I’m always Googling things like what oil do I need for Jeep Cherokee, what lightbulbs do I need, how do I reset the dashboard screen in my jeep Cherokee. I always come across random YouTube videos that answer my question perfectly, but I have not found one good niche site dedicated to Jeep Cherokee’s. You can create a niche site about a specific make and model of a car.

Do you only drive BMWs? Do you fix hot rods? Do you have a method for getting the best deal at the used car dealership? Do you know how to soup-up a Subaru sedan? Do you know everything about Dodge pickups? That can be your niche. Be as specific as possible. People are crazy about their cars. You can create a niche and earn affiliate revenue by recommending parts for a car or create a membership site to share stories with other Volkswagen Beetle drivers.

Online Business Idea – How To

I call this the “how to” niche. With this niche, you are teaching someone how to do something.

Do you ever go to Google and type “How to…”? I know I do all the time. Every time I tie a tie, I Google “How to tie a tie”. I go to Google images and use the same image every time to tie my Half Windsor knot. I could probably memorize it, but it’s easier to Google and follow the step by step process.

We are constantly looking for someone to teach us how to do something that we don’t know how to do. We are always looking for someone that has done it already, and can easily teach us how to do it ourselves.

This is a niche.

You can be the teacher, the go-to resource. Here are a couple “how to” niche ideas:

  • How to play the harmonica
  • How to draw a dog
  • How to make French toast
  • How to write a cover letter
  • How to make a candle
  • How to build a deck
  • How to roast garlic

Some of these I found by going to Google and typing “how to” and seeing what Google auto-filled.

Hundreds of thousands of people are out there asking “how to”. You can make this your niche. Teach people how to do something that you know how to do. Anything you know how to do can be a niche.

Online Business Idea – DIY

DIY, or do it yourself, is a niche. Just check out the DIY Subreddit. Last time I checked 16.7 million people were subscribed to this subreddit, including me.

There are niches within the DIY niche. Looking on Reddit there are filters for DIY niches including DIY home improvement, DIY woodworking, DIY outdoor, DIY carpentry, and DIY automotive.

Just typing in “DIY” into Google the following suggestions auto-filled: DIY Halloween costumes, DIY Christmas ornaments, DIY school supplies, and DIY room décor.

I’ve personally looked into DIY projects like remodeling a van, building a shed, and fixing a car.

All of these are DIY niches. There is a lot of opportunities to pick a niche within the “do it yourself” niche. You can teach people how to DIY a project.

Online Business Idea – Landscaping

I found this niche by Googling “how to water my grass” when I first moved into my home and had to manage my own lawn for the first time. I had no clue how often and when to water my grass, they don’t teach you that in college! I stumbled across the Lawn Care Nut and his YouTube channel and now he’s my go-to resource for any question I have about my lawn.

That’s when I realized there is a big niche opportunity relating to lawn care and landscaping.

There are so many times I find myself searching for tips for managing my yard. Things like how to mulch, how to trim hedges, when to rake leaves, the easiest way to rake leaves, how to keep flowers alive, how much fertilizer to use, how to remove stumps, and when to use lime on the grass.

There are so many niche opportunities in this space.

Are you a landscaping pro? Do you have the perfect lawn? You can help people like me. I’ve stumbled across a few niche sites that are generating affiliate revenue by recommending their preferred fertilizer or recommending a landscaping crew, and I’ve even seen some sites selling a book with specific instructions on how to manage a yard during different seasons of the year.

There is a niche here for an expert to come in and teach people like me how to manage my lawn and yard.

My Process – Creating This List of Niches

There are niches everywhere. Look around you, pay attention to what you are doing each day. Anything can be a niche.

The above list of niches is from a file of notes on my phone. I use Evernote and anytime I think of a new idea, I jot it down. I do the research later. My process for creating a list of niches is simple. I just go through my day as usual, and as I’m going through my usual routines, I look for little things that jump out at me and could be turned into a niche. When I have an idea, I jot it down in my ongoing list of niches that I keep in a document on my phone. Once you get in the habit and keep the “niche lookout” in the back of your mind, the ideas will start popping out at you.

I’m looking around the room right now and can quickly come up with niche ideas. Kitchen knives can be a niche, I could create a blog about the best kitchen knives and what the professional chefs use. I would generate revenue with Amazon Affiliates. Ballpoint pens can be a niche. I’ve met people that are crazy about what pen they use, they even have special pens for signing important documents. Card games are a niche. You can create your own card game, sell your own deck of playing cards with a fancy design on it, or teach people how to play your favorite card games. Podcasting is a niche. You can create a full course teaching people how to podcast, you can be a podcast editor, you can teach people to properly set up their own podcasting equipment, and you can recommend the best podcasting equipment to earn an affiliate commission.

Niches are everywhere. Keep your eyes open. Pay attention to what you are doing all day long, make notes of everything you touch and do during the day. Are you on a diet? Track your story online, you can teach people to follow the same diet as you. Are you starting a new job? Track your journey, you can teach people how to get in the same industry as you, get the same job as you, and how to advance up the corporate ladder in your industry.

Anything can be a niche. You just need to keep your eyes and ears open.

The next step is validating the niche. But that is a whole other process. For validating a niche, I use Long Tail Pro. You can see my Long Tail Pro review and how to use it here. With Long Tail Pro, all you do is take your niche idea and plug it into the Long Tail Pro web app. Long Tail Pro will return up to 400 suggested keywords for your niche. This is how you find what people are searching for in relation to your niche. For example, when I type in “pet hedgehog” in Long Tail Pro I find that people are searching for “pet hedgehog cage”, “how to get a pet hedgehog” and “what to feed a pet hedgehog”. Based on this feedback from Long Tail Pro, I know my niche will be about how to get a pet hedgehog, and how to care for the hedgehog. I would immediately write two blogs about the best food for a hedgehog and the best cage for a hedgehog with an Amazon Affiliate link to buy my recommended products on Amazon. You can see how simple this is. One keyword, one niche idea, and I’ve already got a plan to generate revenue from this niche.
